When my neighbor asked me to rebuild his outdoor garden lights I couldn’t say no. I ended up taking it one step further by redesigning and upgrading them to a Japanese lantern inspired style.

I’ve received enough wonderful feedback on these lanterns, and people expressing that they wanted to make their own, that I put together these quick technical drawings for anyone intersted.

Let me repeat - these are not super-in-depth step-by-step plans. They’re just detailed technical drawings showing how the lanterns go together and all the dimensions for the individual parts.
